The Hayward Gallery was opened in 1968 playing a vital role in the visual arts. They are responsible for National Touring Exhibitions (NTE) and the Arts Council Collection (ACC), which it manages on behalf of the Arts Council of England. The Gallery's programme offers a contemporary perspective on art from the present and the past. There is a programme of educational activities with every exhibition.
