Bristol City Council Education & Lifelong Learning is responsible for the education of more than 52, 000 children in Bristol's 171 schools. They work closely with the schools to raise children's level of achievement and improve school buildings. They give support to teachers and respond to the needs of children across the spectrum. They provide educational courses for adults and also administer student awards.
