Nearby is the Torquay Riviera Conference and sports centre, with indoor swimming pools, wave machine and water chutes and Torre Abbey, with its beautiful gardens, including pitch and putt, tennis and bowls. The hotel no longer has any family rooms available and is considered by its owners to be unsuitable for young children.
