The University Church Of St Mary The Virgin is one of the oldest university buildings in the world, built in the 13th century. It is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. It holds an important place in history, having hosted such luminaries as Cranmer, Wesley and Newman. Admission to the church is free, and the tower boasts some of the best views in Oxford.
