The Wimbledon Museum is situated within the Wimbledon Village Club and was built in 1858 to provide the working classes with education and enjoyment through learning. It is now a museum dedicated to the history of Wimbledon itself, from the beginnings of Caesar's Fort through to the building of Wimbledon Manor right up to and including the impact that tennis has had on Wimbledon itself.
