York Minster is one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in northern Europe. It was built during the Roman times and since then has been at the very centre of England's history. There is also a Foundations Museum underneath the cathedral as well as various shops and eating establishments. Admission fees apply and concessions are available. Donations are warmly welcomed.
