Tourist Attractions in Lower Lansdown, BathThe Assembly Rooms were built in 1770 and specifically designed by Wood the Younger to hold assemblies of up to 1000 guests. It includes many rooms, such as the Ball Room, where the magnificent chandeliers are said to be among the best on the world, as well as The Octagon, the Tea Room and the Card Room. They were all used in the 18th century for leisure pursuits such as dancing, music, card playing, tea drinking and conversation.
